Bill Herndon Dagger with Ivory Handle and Sheath
This dagger was handcrafted by Bill Herndon who has been a knifemaker for over 25 years and is the Vice President of the California Knifemakers Association. This Herndon dagger features a 11 1/2 inch long cruciform blade which has an extended ricasso. The ricasso has ivory panels and is signed by the master knifemaker, "Herndon". The steel components including the blade have a polished blue finish. The "T" shaped guard is handcrafted from steel and stag with the ends of the guard adorned with opaque stones. The handle is ivory and the pommel has a transparent stone inset. OAL: 17 1/4". The dagger is complete with a nicely figured wooden sheath.

Condition: Excellent, with a couple of barely noticeable chips on the blade and some scattered minor handling marks overall. The handle has a few barely noticeable hairline age cracks, with all of the ivory having a nice grain pattern. The sheath has a hairline crack, otherwise excellent with some scattered mild scratches.
