A wonderful, historically accurate and artistically executed custom-made saddle ensemble designed in the late 19th century tradition of San Francisco's L.D. Stone & Co. by Bill Allison of Allison Saddlery of Roundup, Montana. This double-rigged, high back, square skirt, 1893 Northern California style half-seat saddle with massive tapaderos and matching Bridle and Breast Collar, features remarkable deep floral tooling on rich, russet color leather with passionate attention to detail. The Headstall is mounted with an original August Buermann "Daisy" Bit of the same 1890s period, while the Breast Collar perfectly replicates the artistry of the rest. Overall a brilliant re-creation from what many collectors and historians consider to be the halcyon days of the California Vaquero saddle.
