Lot of 6 including: 1) One tall, 2-piece tooled, funnel top Hutchinson bottle, measures 7.5" x 2.25". Front is embossed “Excelsior/ Soda/ Works Co/ Ltd./ Hilo.” Bottom is embossed with an “E” maker’s mark. Greenish aqua glass, multitude of bubbles and small blisters. c. 1905. 2) Short tooled Hutchinson bottle, measures 6.5" x 2.5". Front is embossed “Kurtistown Soda/ Water Co.” and the bottom is embossed with a “K” maker’s mark. Hutchinson gravity top is captured within the bottle. Aqua glass, chipped mouth and several blisters and bubbles throughout the body. c. 1902. 3) Tall, narrow crown top bottle, measures 8.5" x 2". Ribbed from shoulder to foot with “Property of/ PAHOA/ Soda Works/ Pahoa, Hawaii” embossed front and rear. Toward the foot is embossed “6 1/2 Fluid Ounces.” The footed bottom is embossed with a “M” maker’s mark, and “422 7 C 1.” Clear glass, some wear, and scratches along inside of neck. Pahoa Soda Works operated between 1910 and 1953 when the building was destroyed by a fire, according to Pahoa Yesterday by Hiroo Sato. 4) One crown top soda bottle, measuring 7" x 2.25". Front is embossed “Property of/ Pahoa/ Soda Works” and the rear foot is embossed “Net Contents 6 1/2 Fluid Ozs.” The bottom bears an embossed “M” maker’s mark. Clear glass, some wear and staining. 5) One crown top bottle, measuring 7.5" x 2.25" wide. Front is embossed” Property of/ Excelsior/ Soda Works/ Hilo, Hawaii” and the lower rear is embossed “Net Contents 6 ½ Fluid Ozs.” The bottom is embossed with an “EX” maker’s mark. 6) One crown top soda bottle, measuring 8" x 2.25". The slug is embossed “Property of/ Kona/ Bottling/ Works/Hawaii” and the bottom is embossed with a “K.B.” maker’s mark and “Net Contents 6 1/2 Fluid Ozs.” embossed on the lower rear.
