It was originally purchased for $4,500.00 and is accompanied by 2 papers on pyrography and an artist explanation. "Pyrography is the ancient art of burning designs or pictures onto wood or leather. Although practiced for centuries by various African tribes (in a primitive form), the technique has almost vanished in modern society."
