Big Brother and the Holding Company Fillmore West Concert Poster BG-136 (Bill Graham, 1968). If there could have been a "perfect" time to witness Janis Joplin and Big Brother live in concert, it must have been at this San Francisco show. It was the band's home town, for one thing; for another, their classic second album, Cheap Thrills, had been released the month before, and was climbing up the charts, with record label Columbia about to release "Piece of My Heart" as a single (it would be the band's only hit single, reaching #12 on the charts). Joining Janis and the boys for their three-night stand were a couple of heavyweight acts on their own -- Santana and Chicago (still going by their original name Chicago Transit Authority). Even if you weren't at the shows, the poster is a must-have for the Rick Griffin artwork alone! The poster, which was only printed once, measures approximately 14" x 22" and is in gorgeous NM condition.

Shipping: Flat Material, Large (view shipping information)
