Bianco 8 Carat Round Brilliant Cut Diamond Pendant. Fifty years ago, a Russian scientist, attempting to make a stone with the exacting properties of a diamond, grew a crystal with properties that in some ways surpassed theproperties of a diamond, particularly in the area of brilliance, clarity and the lack of inclusions. These near perfect stones were then hand-cut in the same fashion as a precious diamond and the results were historic. During the same period,bianco introduced the bianco stone through the Robb Report magazine to its affluent readership and the rest is history. The stones, available in very limited quantity, are meant for those who want "the very best the world has to offer". Thebianco gemstone, in its varying carats, cuts and weights sold in the 80's for $250 to $300 per carat, which meant a 5 ct. stone sold for $1,500.
