<B>Beverly Hills, CA</B></I> - $20 1902 Plain Back Fr. 661 <B>The Liberty NB</B></I> Ch. # 12909<BR> This is, by a huge margin, the rarer of the two banks chartered in this affluent Los Angeles County community. The census consists of just five examples, with this bank liquidating in 1927 after barely a year of operation. Track and Price has recorded just three offerings from here, the Colver specimen, which we sold in 1999 for $3300 and later resold in 2004 as part of the Horwedel collection, where it went for $4140, and a somewhat higher grade Fine example which fetched $5290 when auctioned two months later.
