Bev Doolittle Lim. Ed Print 3 More For Breakfast
For your consideration is this limited edition Bev Doolittle print titled, "Three More For Breakfast" circa 1996. Bev Doolittle is one of the most collected artists in America. Known for her “camouflage artwork”, in which the background composition comes together to form a hidden image, most of her art has a western motif and focuses on the link between man and nature. Doolittle attended art school in Los Angeles where she met her husband. Working for several years as an art director for an advertising agency in LA, she began to crave the outdoors and wanted to get away from the city to get more in tune with nature. She found herself traveling new paths, exploring new ideas, and finding adventure in both the public arena and the wilderness. Concerned about endangered species and wildlife habitats, Doolittle saw her mission and started to paint it. In her most recent works of art she creates the wild, gorgeous world of nature and through her magic, draws in all of us to celebrate the wonder of life. This print shows a reflection of a man through a mirror cooking some breakfast as three bears walk behind him, curious of what he is doing. The man is unaware of the bears as he sips his coffee from his tin mug. Excerpt from Bev Doolittle - "Reflected in the mirror, a mountain man is enjoying a quiet morning...It's not a good idea, however to cook bacon in bear country...unless you're great at tree-climbing!" - Bev Doolittle. The print is signed by the artist in the bottom right hand corner reading, "Bev Doolittle ©" and shows the limited edition print number next to it reading, "4296/20000" in pencil. The print is set in a silver colored frame and is matted twice with dark grey and light grey matting paper. The light grey matting paper features four bear paw prints drawn onto it. The visible art measures 14 3/4" L x 14 11/16" W, while the entire piece measures 21 1/8" L x 20 1/2" W x 7/8" D. It weighs 5 pounds and 4 ounces.
