Official 1972 strip plate-style RIAA gold sales award presented "to Larry Magid to commemorate the sale of more than 500,000 copies of the Atlantic Records long-playing record album 'The Divine Miss M,'" Midler's debut and considered a classic of the era—it was Midler's breakout record. Framed with its gold disc, plate, and small album image to an overall size of 16.75 x 20.75. Award retains its original backing. In fine condition, with some scuffs to frame and Plexiglas. From the collection of Larry Magid, promoter and co-owner of Philly-based Electric Factory Concerts, responsible for breaking many of the most significant artists of the era. Magid helped launch the careers of many of the greatest stars of the past half-century—his contribution was acknowledged with this award.
