Comely vintage matte-finish 11 x 14 Elmer Fryer photo of Davis in a flowered gown, signed and inscribed in white ink, “For Loletta Hiebert, from Bette.” Scattered light edge and corner creasing, a trivial spot of soiling along the left edge, a small tack hole to the top and bottom edge, a 1936 ink notation in another hand, a newspaper clipping affixed to the reverse, and scattered flaking to the ink, otherwise fine condition. A striking and confident pose, Davis infused her acting with intensity and passion, cementing her rank as one of the greatest female stars of all time.
