<B>Bette Davis Autographs.</B></I> Two Bette Davis autographs: one on a 3.5" x 2" card, with two half-cent stamps affixed, signed by the Academy Award-winning actress in black ink. Her autograph and inscription ("To Dr. Loebenstein") extend across the face of the stamp. The other is at the base of the attached letter (on Davis' personal letterhead). Both the letter and the affixed autograph were dated by Davis 1940. A rare set of autographs from a busy, seminal year for Davis: she was nominated for an Oscar in 1940 for her leading role in <I>Dark Victory,</B></I> and was in production for her next film <I>The Letter,</B></I> for which she would also be nominated Best Actress.
