A Navajo red clay seed jar by Bertha Benally, signed, dated 2004, and inscribed Morningstar. The low, wide form has a small round mouth at the center and is decorated with hand etched geometric panels, stepped designs, and meander borders. The polished red surface is accented with contrasting etched black patterns and two turquoise stone inlays.
