Argentine physiologist (1887–1971) who in 1947 with Carl Ferdinand Cori and Gerty Cori received Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine. Engraved portrait of Houssay, 8 x 11.25, by Maria Elisabeth Wrede, signed and inscribed in the lower border in black felt tip “To Thomas K. Boyce, B. A. Houssay.” A few light scattered creases and moderate toning to the borders, otherwise fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope.
