Bermudez L., ARQ. Humberto. REGISTRO DE LAS FICHAS DE VENEZUELA. ARQ. Humberto Bermudez L. 2003. 12mo. (1), 16, (1) pages. Original plastic covers, spiral bound. Tables. Spanish text. Fine. This Registry is the result of the first phase in the preparation of the Venezuelan Token Catalog, which is expected to publish at the end of 2004. It consists of the compilation, ordering by issuers and values, and coding of the tokens reviewed or mentioned in the following documents: Fonrobert (1878) and Ulex (1908) auctions; Manuel Landaeta Rosales: Collection of Medals, Coins and Tokens (1911). Catalog of the Guttag Collection (1929); Thomas Stohr: Catalog of Coins, Essays, Tokens and Reseals of Venezuela (1975). Giorgias Garriga: Files, signs and cards of Venezuela (1979). Inventory of the Collection of the Banco de Maracaibo (1979). List of the Garriga Collection in Enrique Lopez: Venezuelan Coins 1802-1980 (1983). Articles appeared in Numis Magazine (1956-2003). Auctions and offer sheets of Numismatica Globus (1989-1995). Russell Rulau Catalogs: Latin American Tokens (1991 and 2000). Lots offered in Tu Vendes.com (2002-2003); Lots found on Mercado Libre (Venezuela) and on Ebay (USA) until September 2003, as well as information obtained from several private collections. It does not include resealed coins with initials and/or numerals that cannot be attributed to a specific issuer. Tokens that present serious doubts of being swingline Venezuelan, either by the magnitude of its value, for example '50 Centavos in merchandise', a typically Colombian expression; by their denomination, as in the case of the values in half, the usual unit of account in Colombia and Costa Rica but not in Venezuela, or by the name of the issuer, in the case of Banco Mercantil Americano that never existed in our country, have been excluded from the code. These tokens reflect the economic and social reality of Venezuela in the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century. Lot weight: 0 lbs 2oz. Subject(s): Venezuelan Tokens.
