Manufactured by Berlin-Lubecker and equipped with an early ZF scope. The scope is equipped with sun shields and is marked "ZF / 1.5x13 degree symbol (K)" on the upper left and "cnx (Busch A.-G., emil, Optische Jndustrie, Rathenow) / K.F. / 51992". The top of the receiver is marked "duv / 41", the right side is marked with three "eagle/214" proofs and the firing proof and serial number appear on the left side. The left receiver wall is marked "Mod 98", the left rear of the barrel is marked with a Nazi firing proof and the serial number, and vertically "duv" followed by three "eagle/214" proof marks. The right side of the barrel below the rear sight is marked with two "eagle/214" proof marks. The rifle has the correct early, all milled parts and is mounted with a correct laminated stock and matching hand guard with the letter "H" on the right side of the buttstock, signifying Army issue and an eagle proof on the bottom. The front barrel band has been renumbered to match, otherwise all visible numbers match. Complete with an original slotted cleaning rod and green painted scope can with canvas loop.

Condition: Very fine as professionally restored. The rifle shows a smooth plum blue patina on the barrel and receiver, with a smooth gray and brown patina on the barrel bands and a dark patina on the floor plate and trigger guard with some minor pitting. There is a small amount of minor pitting on the top of the receiver. The bolt retains almost all of the original blue finish. The stock is very good with overall scattered minor dings, nicks and dents. The scope is excellent with clear optics. All markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent. The scope can is good with about 60% of the original green paint remaining and some minor spotting on the exposed metal.
