Baby doctor and best selling author (1903-1998) whose book Baby and Child Care, published in 1946, is one of the biggest best-sellers of all time. TLS, one page, 8.5 x 11, personal letterhead, March 21, 1963. Letter to a member of the group Southern California SANE organization regarding an upcoming luncheon. In part: “In your previous schedule you listed for Tuesday a luncheon for sponsors, which I had pictured as social. Your recent letter mentions a panel of distinguished experts, an address by me, a question period for the panel. I’m not clear now what the aim or subject matter of this lunch is. And I want to be sure that you don’t oversell me. I only have a half hour’s worth of ideas about peace. I’m not going to be able to give different talks to sponsors, press, T.V. and auditorium, and I hate to repeat myself.” In fine condition, with a paperclip impression to top edge and a few light wrinkles.
