Baby doctor and best selling author (1903-1998) whose book Baby and Child Care, published in 1946, is one of the biggest best-sellers of all time. ALS signed “Ben Spock,” one page, 7.25 x 10, American Airlines letterhead, no date. Spock writes to “Lon,” in full: “I was delighted with my visit to Lake Michigan—meeting so many interested and warm hearted students having such a large and responsive audience. These things result from thoughtful planning only. I appreciate all that you and the committee did.” In very good condition, with scattered surface creasing, and a more moderate horizontal crease passing through the body of text. Accompanied by an American Airlines boarding pass, First Class, featuring a note in Spock’s hand on the reverse, “I wrote to Gene separately.”
