<B>Benjamin McCullough Original </B></I><B><I>Carte de Visite</B></I></B></I>. 2.5" x 4". A scarce image with a Charles D. Fredricks and Co., New York backstamp. Benjamin McCullough (1811-1862) was a friend of Davy Crockett, a soldier in the Texas Revolution, a Texas Ranger, a U.S. marshal, and a Confederate General during the Civil War. He was killed at the Battle of Pea Ridge, Arkansas, on March 7, 1862. He was buried three times, finally reposing in the Texas State Cemetery in Austin.
