American conductor and pianist (1837–1909) who conducted the world premiere of Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in Boston. Original 4.25 x 6.5 cabinet profile photo, by Hardy Studios of Boston, hastily inscribed at the bottom of the image in black ink and signed “B. J. Lang, 1905.” In fine condition, with mounting remnants to reverse.
