Letter to George Webster, Jr. In full: “Your letter of Dec. 2nd enclosing one from Mr. New has been received. I have not as yet taken up the papers in the Indianapolis collectorship for examination. My intention has been to wait until we could have a conference by the delegation here and consider the question of the different collectorships in the State together.” In very good condition, with intersecting folds, one through a single letter of signature, lightly trimmed top edge, scattered toning and soiling, and several creases.
