Comprises: 1.) Small 4to booklet with cover gilt-embossed "Souvenir / Inaugural Ball / March 4th / 1889." Retains original wrappers bound with satin ribbon and back cover bearing gilt-embossed federal eagle with a color printed U.S. flag in its talons. Interior contains tissue guards and three etchings: an allegorical scene with figures representing the United States with Washington D.C. in background, portrait of President Harrison, and a portrait of Vice President Morton. Front wrapper blind-stamped at bottom right "Bailey, Banks, & Biddle Makers / Philada" around a rearing unicorn. 2.) Printed 32mo card stock inauguration ticket, No. 688, "Dec. 11 1889 at one o'clock. Admit bearer to the gallery of the House of Representatives." Features an engraved portrait of George Washington at right side. 3.) Doubled-sided advertising slip. Recto imprinted "Route of Procession / Inauguration of..." above jugate portraits of Harrison and Morton and date "March 4th, 1889." Below is a map of Washington D.C. and text instructions. Verso bears a red and black printed pictorial advertisement for "St. Jacobs Oil" espousing "Cures Rheumatism, Neuralgia...Lumbago...Toothaches...Frost Bites...Scalds. It Conquers Pain. At Druggists...The Charles A. Voqeler Co., Baltimore, Md." 4.) Printed oblong 32mo card stock signed "John G. Carlisle," as Speaker of the House. Imprinted "The Count / of the / Electoral Vote / Admit bearer to reserved gallery / February 13, 1889." 5.) Albumen cabinet card with composite images of President Harrison and the First Lady flanking the Washington Monument with the White House below.
