Actress (1891–1932) who began in vaudeville and appeared in many Hollywood films, including The Iron Mask, Stella Dallas, and Their Own Desire. Vintage matte-finish 7.75 x 9.75 Melbourne Spurr portrait of Bennett, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “To Gene, Althea, and Frances, ‘My Precious Wee Trio,’ To know you is to love you. Your friend unto the end of time, tenderly, lovingly and loyally thine, Belle Bennett.” Some silvering to the image, lightly trimmed edges, and the inscription and signature a few shades light, otherwise fine condition.
