Belgian made copy of Colt lightning pistol, marked “Cowboy Ranger” on top of frame. Blue and case hardened finish, scrimshawed bone grips, left side of barrel marked “For .38 S&W special cartridges”. Serial #280. Made about 1910-15. The pistol remains in original very good to near fine condition with 90-95% bright blue and case hardening. Some small areas of light erosion and pinprick pitting, but generally near excellent overall. The cylinder pin shows some marks. There are some scratches on the barrel. Serial #28 on the bottom side of the barrel. The grips show incised scrim type work with a portrait of Mexican president with angel placing a wreath on his head, in a four line banner reads “Presidente Don Madero, 19 Februero, 1913.” The right side of the grips show a hand pointing from the clouds, the Mexican snake and eagle, and the word Chapultepec. The quality of the work on the grips is excellent and they are beautifully decorated. Est: $750 - 1500

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
