Vintage photograph signed by the cast members of "Chandu the Magician" (1932), a film in which a spiritualist (Chandu) battles a madman (Lugosi) across the Egyptian desert for possession of a death ray, with which the later threatens to destroy the world. The black and white photograph measures approx. 10 ½ in. x 12 in. This portrait features the principals photographed together in costume: Edmond Lowe (Frank Chandler / Chandu), Irene Ware (Princess Nadji), Weldon Heyburn (Abdullah), directors William Cameron Menzies and Marcel Varnel, and of course Lugosi (Roxor). The photograph is captioned “Chandu! Out of the Air – Onto the Screen!” and signed just below by each of the seven listed above. In very fine condition. Housed in a custom archival frame.
