Belgian made Yellow Boy Rimfire Carbine Prototype, Serial No. 1, .22 LR cal., 19'' barrel, bronze frame, case hardened hammer, barrel mag tube and lever finished in the white, walnut stock and handguard. As built for William B. Edwards in approx. 1963, just prior to Winchester's 100th anniversary in 1966 as a possible commemorative arm to be offered in their Centennial year. Rifle additionally features crescent style buttplate and simulated non-functioning loading gate, as rifle is tube fed. Condition is fine as one would expect from a prototype firearm, with most parts remaining in an unfinished state. Left side upper tang of buttstock with crack to stock that can easily be repaired.
