Beautifully wood framed and matted “Colt’s The Arm of Law and Order” color advertiser (familiarly known by Colt collectors as “Tex and Patches”), approx. 41” x 27-1/2” overall good condition with bright colors, some areas of aging and ahorizontal crease approx. 1/3 from the top of the poster where the piece at one time had been folded and now is visible approx. 3” on the left side to the cowboy’s arm on approx. 1-1/2” on the right side (less pronounced) but not affecting the image of the horse or rider. This is overall one of the better surviving examples we have seen of this classic Colt advertiser utilizing the famous work of Frank E. Schoonover’s 1925 painting of a Lawman on his trusty steed wearing his Colt SAAwith carved steerhead medallion gripped revolver in period double loop Western holster and square buckle cartridge belt. Great for anyone’s gunroom, office or den. Est.: $1,750-$3,500.
