Beautifully framed in wood and glass “shadowbox”, a Monarch Trade-mark linen white shirt, inked below the maker tag “WYATT EARP”; display is approx. 25” x 17” and includes a letter mounted beneath the shirtthat states in part: “To Whom It May Concern: Aug. 1, 2001, Ebay item #1177986108 was sold by me . . . The item is a vintage “gamblers shirt” or “bartenders shirt” . . . has been in possession of my family sincearound 1910-1912. My grandfather, Roy Colston, got the shirt from Wyatt Earp the lawman; who in Earp’s later life, was a silent western movie “advisor” and bit part actor. Approximately 1910, my grandfathertraveled to California . . . was employed in service work around early silent movie companies. According to family history, my grandfather was given the shirt by Wyatt Earp, because the shirt needed cleaning. . .the shirt was passed through my family. . . the shirt was kept stored in an attic and the shirt became very age yellowed.
