Beautifully framed and matted authentic Confederate States of America Loan of March 1864 $1,000 “Equestrian Bond” No. 89, approx. 35-1/2” x 24” in overall fine condition. As can be noted, the 1,000 bond issued on February 17th, 1864, wasto be redeemable on July 1, 1894 with the CSA Treasury to pay the holder $30 of interest every 6 months beginning January 1865. (looks like this investor cashed in for one interest coupon before Appomattox). Great artwork and history. Est.:$300-$600.
