Beautiful high quality flintlock full stock Kentucky style rifle with Barnett lock and 35” octagon barrel marked “E. E.” at the breech, .36 cal., double set triggers, brass ramrod ferrules, brass trigger guard, butt plate and engraved four piece patchbox. This rifle is in overall very good condition showing an even dark patina to metal surfaces, good action, beautiful tiger striped wood that is very good to near fine in condition; brass is un-cleaned and displays a taffy-colored patina. It is opined that the maker of this gun was Baltimore, MD. Gunsmith, blacksmith and bell hanger Edward Evatt, Sr., at 36 Light St. from 1802-1831 and at 35 Light St. in 1835 (per City Directories).
