Beautiful finely detailed Persian Bakhtiari. This beautiful piece is made of fine quality baby lamb's wool pile on cotton foundation, all natural vegetable dye, incorporating a finely detailed floral pattern on red background, three nice medallion, crowned corners and an intricate floral border. Hand woven in Bakhtiar from Iran. Bakhtiari is an ancient southwestern Iranian tribe. Bakhtiaris were nomaidc pastoralists and weaving Rugs was and still is a unique way of expression and telling stories. Size: 5 feet 5 inches X 10 feet 2 inches.
