Produced in 1966, the Premier, or F, grade was exclusively the product of the Remington Custom Shop, with masterfully hand-fitted components and superb embellishment, with the engraving alone calling for 2 weeks of dedicated effort from a master, in this case, Robert P. Runge. Robert Phoenix Runge started his engraving career with Parker Brothers, moving to Remington along with his father in 1934 and retiring in 1979 to work on the restoration and embellishment of vintage Parker shotguns. Ivory front and nickel mid bead sights, with a modified choke, three line address and patent dates on the right side of the barrel, and the 2 3/4 inch chamber markings on the reverse. At the rear of the barrel is a 6 inch long section of fine scroll engraving, which extends forward to envelop the markings with decorative panels and terminates with a leaf border pattern. The receiver shows over 97% coverage of fine scrollwork, leafy vine border designs and a dog's head on the underside of the trigger guard. A set of two banners are present on the left side, with "Remington MODEL 1100-TF" in the center, and the serial number on the right. Each side shows a three-panel game scene; a woodland scene on the left, with a pheasant and mallard duck in flight in each of the side panels and 2 dogs in the center, and the right side has a similar arrangement, with a woodcock and quail in flight. The right side also shows the "'66/RPR" signature immediately below the dogs. Fitted with an extra fancy high grade walnut stock, featuring sharp checkering on the extended beavertail forearm and pistol grip, integrating spade and flare patterns into the border lines, a Fleur-de-Lis decorated black grip cap, a "REM" marked gold inscription panel on the underside, 13 3/4 inch length of pull and basket-weave pattern Pachmayr recoil pad.
