1) All original Philippine Presentation Kris dagger with inscribed scabbard ("Lt.Col. M.W. Lance/from/Lt. P.R. Echen/ Mindanao"). Research puts a Lt. Colonel Mark Lance in the Philippines with the 31st Division of the Florida National Guard during WWII. Blade is 7 1/2", with wavy edges and spine, extending from an engraved silver guard with scalloped edges. Burl walnut grip held by brass and engraved silver bands. Silver banded hardwood scabbard, with cut through decoration on the bands, raised beaded patterns. This could have easily been presented during WWII. 2) Caucasian kinjal dagger, 7 3/4" blade with asymmetrical single fullers, set with resin into the silver grip, which is decorated with zigzag backed vine work, hatched bands around the midsection and a floral ball on the pommel. Similar designs are present on the silver shod scabbard, with a set of three small hallmarks, one dated "1869". Both are near excellent.
