<B>Beautiful 1917 Panorama Photograph of Waco, Texas</B></I> 37.5” x 7.5”, framed under glass to an overall size of 39.5” x 9.5”, entitled “<I>Birds Eye View of Waco Tex 9/13/17</B></I>”, with Stouts and Simpson photographer's mark, in fine condition. A wonderfully detailed panorama of Waco, Texas viewed towards the southwest. The detail of the photograph is such that even the smallest details are clearly visible including Coca-Cola signs painted on the side of buildings, horses, wagons, early automobiles, business signs, trolley tracks, etc. However, it is obvious that one of the main purposes of the photograph was to capture the military parade that can be seen snaking through the square. With America's recent entry into the First World War and given the proximity of several training camps in the central Texas area, one can assume that these soldiers were shortly on their way to France.
