Vintage fountain pen signature and inscription, “To Maureen, lots of love from The Beatles, Paul McCartney xxx,” and ballpoint signatures, “George Harrison,” “Ringo Starr,” and “John Lennon,” on a 5.75 x 7.5 off-white card. Matted to an overall size of 10 x 11.75. In very good condition, with a central horizontal fold, slightly affecting bottom of McCartney’s signature, scattered soiling and spotting, and some creases to bottom edge. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from the original recipient reading, in part: “I met the Beatles in August 1963 when they stayed at the Duke of Richmond Hotel in Guernsey…They played that evening at the Candie Gardens Auditorium…their road manager, Neil Aspinall took me backstage…after the concert they jammed in the hotel ballroom…so it was quite a party…prior to checking out I asked them all to sign this card - (these cards were used to type our menus on).” A large example of this ever increasingly difficult-to-assemble grouping with exceptional provenance.
