Rare DS, one page, 7 x 11, 1969. Apple Films Limited resolution regarding a change to the company’s secretary. Document reads, “It is resolved that Moor House Secretaries Limited be and is hereby appointed Secretary of the Company with effect from December 13, 1968 in the place of Mr. B. F. Burns who submitted his resignation with effect from November 20, 1968.” Signed at the conclusion in black felt tip by John Lennon, in black ballpoint by Paul McCartney, and in blue ballpoint by George Harrison. Document is also signed in blue ballpoint by Apple managing director Neil Aspinall, with Lennon adding a short vertical line on the reverse apparently to test his one before signing. Ringo Starr’s line is blank, as his signature was not necessarily required, with the majority of the directors already having signed. In fine condition, with slight show-through from Lennon’s test line on reverse. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from noted Beatles expert Frank Caiazzo. The film-making division of Apple Corps. would release several of the band’s films, including Yellow Submarine and Let It Be. It was during this time in late 1968 that tensions among the band were escalating, causing dissension in the studio during the recording of The White Album. It marked the beginning of the end of the Beatles as a single, unified group. Any official Apple document signed by a majority of the band is exceedingly scarce.
