Please Please Me album signed and inscribed in blue ballpoint on the back cover, “To Sue, Love from the Beatles, Ringo Starr xxx,” “Paul McCartney,” and “George Harrison.” Reverse also bears a sketch of a beetle and “1963,” in the album’s owner’s hand, as well as “Abergavenny, 1963,” written along the top edge. In very good condition, with some moderate contrast to Starr’s signature over printing, old tape and toning near horizontal edges, scattered creasing to both covers, and a few small stains, not affecting any of the signatures. The record is included. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks. Signatures were obtained prior to the band’s performance at the Town Hall in Abergavenny, on June 22, 1963. The reason that the recipient did not get John Lennon’s autograph is because he was still in London recording a TV appearance on the program ‘Ready Steady Go.’ Immediately after the recording, Lennon was flown by a private helicopter just in time to get to the Town Hall to appear on stage at the venue.
