Sought-after cast of vintage ballpoint signatures with inscriptions, "To Sue, love from George Harrison, xxxxx," "Love to Susan, from, Pete Best, xxx," "Love from John Lennon, xx," and "Love from Paul McCartney," on an off-white 4.75 x 3.75 centerfold page removed from a 1962 Cavern Club Membership Card booklet. The page is also signed and inscribed in ballpoint by Liverpool beat singer Lee Curtis. Includes a complete 1962 Cavern Club Membership Card booklet. In good to very good condition, with a sliver of paper loss along the hinge, heavy overall creasing, and old tape stains to the top and bottom edges. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks and a brief letter of provenance from the original recipient, in part: "This is to confirm that the Beatles signatures including Pete Best…were obtained personally by myself at the Cavern Cub, Liverpool in 1962." After the breakup of his former band The Black Jacks, Best was recruited by McCartney to join the Beatles on their upcoming Hamburg residency in mid-August 1960. Shortly after the band's first Abbey Road recording session on June 6, 1962, Best was ousted from the group and replaced later that summer with Ringo Starr. A decidedly bold set of an early Beatles lineup.
