Remarkable Danish program for a Beatles performance at Copenhagen’s KB Hallen on June 4, 1964, sixteen pages, 7.75 x 10.25, nicely signed on the front cover above their images in black ballpoint by Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison, and Jimmie Nicol, signing above the image of Ringo Starr. Both Lennon and Nicol have signed again on the photo collage centerfold in blue ballpoint, with the latter adding “Best wishes.” In fine condition. Accompanied by a copy of a letter of provenance from the original recipient, in part: “My father was the K.B. Halls personnel in the greenroom, to keep order and to help with practical things on the stage. I was often with him in the greenroom. The Beatles insisted however, that the greenroom only had very few people, and no press. My father and I were part of the few in the greenroom, and I saw The Beatles sign the frontpage of the program.” Nicol replaced Ringo Starr from June 3–15, 1964, at the start of the Beatles’ World Tour, while Ringo was suffering from tonsillitis and pharyngitis. Given the time period, this incredible multi-signed program exhibits two of the earliest known signatures Nicol made as a Beatle. A truly uncommon piece of ‘Fab Four’ history.
