Parlophone Records ‘black label’ 45 RPM record of the Beatles single ‘Please Please Me / Ask Me Why,’ signed on the green sleeve in ballpoint, “George Harrison,” “Ringo Starr, xxx,” and “John Lennon,” who signs again, “Best wishes, John Lennon.” In very good condition, with notations in an unknown hand, overall creasing, and moderate signature contrast. The record is included. Consignor notes that the autographs were obtained at the Regal Cinema in Wakefield, Yorkshire, England on February 7, 1963. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks, and by a letter of provenance from the original recipient: “In 1963 I was a teenager, 15 years old. The Beatles were very popular and I was caught up in the ‘Magic of the Beatles.’ They came to the Regal Cinema in Wakefield and that was where the record sleeve was signed. I did not realize for some time that Paul had not signed it, but John had signed it twice.”
