Original running order and script for the 1963-64 Carl Alan Awards held at The Empire Ballroom in Leicester Square, London, on March 23, 1964, 8 x 13, eighteen pages, prominently signed on the first page of the script in black ballpoint by John Lennon, Ringo Starr, Paul McCartney, and George Harrison, who adds “(I. T. V.).” In very good to fine condition, with expected handling wear, including some tiny edge tears and folds. Accompanied by a letter of provenance, in part: “I was given the Beatles’ autographs in 1964 by my next door neighbor Bill Jones…Bill was a cameraman working for the BBC. He was filming at the Carl Allen Award show on the evening the Beatles won the award they were nominated for.” At the 1963 Carl Alan Awards, the Fab Four received two accolades: the award for ‘The Most Outstanding Beat Group of 1963,” as well as the award for ‘Best Vocal Record for She Loves You,’ both of which were personally presented to The Beatles by Prince Philip. A decidedly uncommon and significant format related to famous dance and theater ceremony, signed in full by the emerging British superstars.
