Matte-finish 7.5 x 5.5 photo of Lennon peering out from beneath the dress of the ‘queen,’ signed in blue ballpoint “Keep alive in 75. love John L.” who has added self-caricature. Also signed “May” by May Pang. The reverse bears a short note from Pang. In part: “Happy New Year! How do you like my version of the Queen?!…also send me anything that’s interesting and if there’s any T-Shirts—I’m a collector.” Lennon then added an asterisk after “T-Shirts” and the note, “P.S. make ’em.” In fine condition, with light surface crease near the top of the image and a few spots of soiling near the bottom border. Signed just after the start of the 1975 new year, Lennon and Pang, his former assistant and production coordinator, were nearing the end of their 18-month ‘Lost Weekend’ at the time. They separated in February 1975, when the former Beatle returned to Yoko Ono. Accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity from Tracks.
