Four items: a color glossy 4.25 x 5.5 photo of Martin in the studio in front of McCartney, Lennon, and Harrison, signed in blue ink by Martin; a color glossy 4 x 6 postcard photo of the Beatles single ‘Long Tall Sally,’ signed in the lower border in blue ballpoint by Martin; a thoughtful ALS signed “George Martin and Judy,” one page both sides, 5.75 x 4, November 13, 2012, in full: “I have heard that you are having a rough time with cancer. Both my wife and I have had this awful disease but we have been lucky to have survived—so far! This is just a word to cheer you and to say we will say a little prayer for you. Never give up! Wishing you well, we send love to you”; and a TLS, one page, 8.25 x 11.75, December 2008, in full: “You’d use recorded effects and then they’d have to come off discs. So we tried to make our own, and we used to have all sorts of things. We used to have roller skates for making train noises over rails and I remember once trying to effect the noise of someone’s head being chopped off. I used a cabbage for that, it was very effective. It sounds all very sort of technical, but in fact it was very much a kind of bootlace affair. I mean the Abbey Road in those days was a fairly primitive place by today’s standards.” In overall fine condition.
