Original Maestro 7-inch reel-to-reel recording tape (MRT12) containing audio of the Beatles’ press conference in Vancouver on August 22, 1964. The tape is contained in its original Maestro box, which bears an affixed card to cover, with caption: “Beatles’ Press Conference, At Vancouver, B. C.,” and marked in black pencil: “Starring (occasionally) Jack (Ringo) Webster.” In fine condition, with expected wear and aging to the box. Originates from the personal collection of noted Canadian journalist, radio, and television personality Jack Webster, who was regarded as the ‘king of the Vancouver airwaves.’

Accompanied by a letter of provenance from the former owner: "Regarding the reel to reel audio tape of a Beatles interview circa 1964. My father, Harry W. Sandberg MD (deceased), was the medical director for CBS studio in Los Angeles from the late 50s–early 60s until 1967, when we moved to Northern California. Our next-door neighbor and family friend in Studio City during that time was Hank Guillotte, the vice president of CBS (he talked my parents into buying the house/property next to his home). This audio tape was part of a retiring/moving away present/gift package given to my father by Mr. Guillotte and the studio heads. I can recall seeing this tape for most of my life and it was eventually given to me by my father."
