Ultra-rare 3.25 x 2.5 ticket stub (#718) for the "Rock 'n Roll Concert/Dance starring The Beatles, plus All Star Show" at the Elizabethan Ballroom, Nottingham, on March 7, 1963. In fine condition. This concert became known as the ‘Mersey Beat Showcase,’ as it was organized by Beatles manager Brian Epstein, and besides the Beatles, the lineup consisted of bands from Liverpool: Gerry and the Pacemakers, the Big Three, and Billy J. Kramer and the Dakotas. Five similar 'Mersey Beat Showcase' shows took place over the course of the next three months. Just two days later on March 9th, the Beatles would embark on the Tommy Roe and Chris Montez 21-date spring tour of 1963, considered their first major tour, and their debut album Please Please Me was released later in the month.
