Includes a pair collected by Charles Manchester of Akron while a judge in Indian Territory, OK, with a stylized floral motif in colors of pink, burgundy, light blue, medium blue, cobalt, pale green, red, white, translucent clear, and translucent cream, and with remnants of red and white gingham on tongue; 9" long; PLUS a child's pair with simple lanes of beads in colors of pale blue and red "white-hearts," remnants of red calico on cuff; 5.75" long; AND another child's pair with simple beaded crosses on top of foot and irregular diamonds along sole, beads in colors of cobalt, translucent yellow, medium blue, translucent clear, white, and red beads with white hearts; 5" long. Deaccessioned from the Western Reserve Historical Society of Cleveland, Ohio. Fair to good, floral design pair with beadwork intact, but stiff and soiled, and with cloth binding on cuff missing; second with loose tongue, stiff, and flat; last in good condition, but slightly soiled.

<p>Registration. All bidders must register their name, permanent street address (no P.O. Boxes please), and phone number prior to the auction. Bidders unknown to us are required to register a valid Visa or MasterCard number, and may be required to arrange for a bank letter of credit.
<p>Terms of Sale. The highest bidder for each lot shall be the buyer, and if any dispute arises as to any bidding, or between two or more bidders, at the sole discretion of the auctioneer, the disputed lot shall be put up again at the last undisputed bid and resold.
<p>Buyer’s Premium. Successful bidders shall pay the hammer price of each lot, plus a 15%, added on buyer’s premium.

<p>Condition of Items in the Sale. Cowan’s Historic Americana Auctions does not warrant the condition of any lot sold. ALL PROPERTY IS SOLD AS IS, and neither Cowan’s nor the consignor makes any warranties or representations of any kind or nature with respect to the property or it’s value, and in no event shall they be responsible for correctness of description, genuineness, attribution, provenance, authenticity, authorship, completeness, condition of the property or estimate of it’s value. No statement (oral or written) in the catalog, at the auction, or elsewhere shall be deemed such a warranty or representation, or any assumption of responsibility.
<p>While condition reports for most items can be found online at Cowan’s website www.historicamericana.com, prospective bidders are urged to contact Cowan’s directly for detailed information regarding any lot. THERE SHALL BE NO RETURNS FOR ANY REASON.
<p>Estimates. Pre-sale estimates of the expected hammer price of each lot are provided for the convenience of prospective bidders. In most cases, they do not represent reserves. Bidders are encouraged to bid what they feel an item is worth.
<p>Dimensions. Unless otherwise noted, all dimensions are given in inches.
<p>HOW DO I BID?
<p>Internet bidding through icollector and ebaylive auctions is offered as a service to our customers, and prospective bidders shall not hold the auctioneer or his staff responsible for any errors or failures in executing bids, nor shall they hold the auctioneer responsible for any failure due to the loss of the auction applet supplied to Cowan’s by ebayliveauctions.
<p>Absentee Bidding. Absentee bids left through ebaylive auctions and icollector auctions are automatically bid electronically by the computers of eBay.
