Grouping of personal articles found in a cave position on the battle site of Maeda Escarpment (also called 'Hacksaw Ridge') on Okinawa Island, including: a photograph of a Japanese officer, six coins, the officer's identification disk, and a traditional Japanese 'good luck' flag sent by a relative on the mainland, signed with well wishes for the soldier. All are matted and framed to an overall size of 18.5 x 22.5; the identification disk has become detached from its mount within the display. In overall very good to fine condition.
