Batman #35 (DC, 1946) Condition: VF+. This issue marked the return of Catwoman and the debut of a new costume for the villainess (one of many changes the fickle feline would make over the years). As for the cover story, Dick Grayson complains that comic books have unrealistic plots, and he gets the chance to make up his own. He deals with writer's block by simply writing about Batman and Robin! The issue's cover is by Dick Sprang; the interior artists include Ray Burnley. Note that this copy, which has off-white pages, could not be encapsulated by CGC because of an overhang. Overstreet 2006 VF 8.0 value = $719; VF/NM 9.0 value = $1,135. From the Collection of Harold Curtis.
