Batman #2 (DC, 1940) CGC Apparent VG+ 4.5 Slight (P) Off-white pages. Two of DC's villainous VIPs made only their second appearances in this issue. Not only does that jocund jack-of-all-crimes, the Joker, pop up for only the second time, he has purr-fect accompaniment in the form of Catwoman. In fact, this issue had the debut of the name "Catwoman," as the lady was called the Cat in her previous appearance. The art is by Bob Kane with the assistance of his lieutenants Jerry Robinson and George Roussos. CGC notes, "Restoration includes: tear seals to cover, cover cleaned, reinforced. (Centerfold detached)." Overstreet 2004 GD 2.0 value = $1,219; VG 4.0 value = $2,438. From the Northern Lights Collection.
