<B>Batman #1 (DC, 1940) Condition: PR.</B></I> Note that this copy is <I>complete</B></I>, so give it your full consideration if a high-grade copy is a bit out of your price range (they're out of just about <I>everyone's</B></I> price range!). The cover is detached and split, the first wrap is split, several pages have small pieces of tape, and the pages are slightly brittle (this fragility is the reason we chose to scan the book from outside the bag just this once). On the positive side, there are no water stains and the staples are shiny. Plus, how could you not want a copy of one of the most valuable comic books of all, featuring the first appearances of the Joker and Catwoman? The fact that a PR copy sold for $4,481 in a previous Heritage auction underscores how collectible this key book is in any grade.
