<td width="100%">
This is a white porcelain basket that has applied colorful birds,fruit and leaves. The birds and strawberries are fired on glass beading
known as coralene. The leaves and vines are applied porcelain. The condition is good in structure. There is loss of gold across the top and many missing beads as well as small nicks and flea bites to the applied pieces. This is typical of usage and age. The birds are absolutley charming and it is a unique decorative object. Other examples of coralene can be found in R&D Truitt Collectible Bohemian Glass 1880-1940. It was also made by Mt. Washington of New Bedford. This piece is signed patent 1119 and the artist number 49.
